Terms of Service (Beta)

Effective for the OVUM Beta period. Subject to change without notice.

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using the OVUM platform (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you must not access or use the Platform.

2. No investment advice

All content on the Platform — including signals, market maps, company profiles, research summaries, and editorial analysis — is for informational and educational purposes only and does not constitute investment, financial, legal, tax, or other professional advice. OVUM does not recommend the purchase or sale of any security, investment, or instrument.

3. No reliance

You expressly agree not to rely on any content on the Platform as the basis for any investment, business, legal, medical, or financial decision. You are solely responsible for your own research and for consulting qualified professional advisors.

4. Beta acknowledgment

You acknowledge that the Platform is in active development. Content may be incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated; features may change or be removed without notice; and data is provided on an "as is, as available" basis.

5. Founder- and company-submitted content

Profiles and other content submitted by companies, founders, or their representatives reflect the views and claims of the submitting party, not OVUM. OVUM does not verify, endorse, or take responsibility for the accuracy of such content and expressly disclaims all liability for it.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, OVUM, its affiliates, officers, employees, and contributors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your access to or use of the Platform, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. You access the Platform at your own risk.

7. Intellectual property

OVUM's editorial content, market maps, brand assets, and analyses are the intellectual property of OVUM. Founder- or company-submitted content remains the property of the submitting party, who grants OVUM a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, display, and distribute that content on the Platform.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in San Francisco County, California.
