OVUM is operated from California, USA.
What we collect
- Email addresses you submit to subscribe to OVUM updates.
- Account information for editorial team members (name, email, OAuth identifier) when you sign in.
- Company- or founder-submitted profile data you choose to provide.
- Usage data (pages viewed, referrer, approximate location from IP, device/browser) collected automatically through standard web logs and privacy-respecting analytics.
How we use it
- To operate, secure, and improve the Platform.
- To deliver the OVUM newsletter and verification emails you request.
- To attribute submitted profiles and content to the submitting party.
- To detect abuse and enforce our Terms.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share data only with service providers strictly necessary to operate the Platform (hosting, email delivery, authentication) under contractual confidentiality obligations, or when required by law.
Cookies
We use a minimal set of cookies and similar technologies for authentication, security, and basic analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may break sign-in.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing privacy@ovum.live.
California residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA, to: (i) know what categories of personal information we collect and how we use them; (ii) request access to or deletion of your personal information; (iii) correct inaccurate personal information; (iv) opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information; and (v) be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. OVUM does not sell personal information. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@ovum.live. We will verify your request via the email address on file.
Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as needed to provide the Platform and meet legal obligations. Subscriber emails are deleted on request or when you unsubscribe.
Children
The Platform is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
